The schedule was rather tight…. there was no time for lunch, and we just popped by Coffee Bean for a quickie breakkie late lunch/tea. The design of this cafe is slightly more upclass compared to the ones in KL.
We ordered the minestrone soup served with sliced garlic bread to share, sadly the soup was lukewarm when served. We had to get the waiter to bring back the bowl of soup into the kitchen to re-heat it.
The soup was a little too diluted…this was not a good soup. Thankfully the baguettes were nicely buttered and toasted.
I had a cuppa flat white, which wasn’t that bad, but the coffee was also lukewarm. Maybe because my cuppa was prepared by a trainee that was instructed by a senior and she did look fairly green still. Not that I am blaming her for her lack of skills, but her superior should not have served a lousy cuppa and re-make another if it was not up to bench mark quality.
The red velvet sliced cake on the other hand, was really delicious! Dense, thick, moist and not sweet. Thankfully the cream cheese layer was not thick, so there was no need of digging them out like most cakes.
Finally..I am heading home! I caught a glimpse of this gorgeous view of the bright shining light piercing through the clouds after a heavy thunderstorm along my flight journey home. Ain’t it a gorgeous sight ? 🙂
