I like the goat cheese Camembert!!! it’s sinfully creamyyy!!! Take them together with the slightly salty salami and freshly toasted garlic bread..VOILAA!

Taiping Hawker Food

Kakak Kuey Tiao Teng (dry):
Demona: Dogma and I were back in our hometown, Taiping for the weekend. Taiping, as with all other small towns, are known for great breakfast meals. One of my favourite shops is Kakak Restaurant. Known for their Kuey Tiao Teng, Tar, and Kwon Lou Meen. I grew up eating in this shop almost every Sunday. The owner (who’s the drink maker) is my dad’s primary and secondary school classmate.

I ordered the Kuey Tiao Teng, and Dogma took the dry one. We ordered some side dishes (meatballs, “suey kau”s) and two glasses of coffee.

p/s: This shop has their own drink as well. The next time you happen to eat there, call for their “Kakak Peng/Juak”.

Taiping Prima Coffeeshop’s Char Kuey Teow with Tea + Kopi Peng (Gau & less sugar):
The stall name is called Cowboy. RM 2.50 for a plate. With a couple of prawns( no, no, they’re not minute, unlike most you see in KL). There are many other food stalls around as well, but everytime we’re there, Cowboy’s the go.

Kakak: The meal only cost us RM 11. CHEAPPPPPP. and GOOOOOOD. And, they’ve got good chilli paste to add some spicyness feeling.
CKT: Quite a good fry. Still second best next to this aunty. The best CKT I’ve eaten so far was from this place called Malaysian Restaurant (opposite Lido). I used to have a pack of CKT (of only RM1.60) after my night BM tuition classes, at least once a week (those were the days where calories, waistlines, cholesterol etc didn’t matter). Unfortunately, the cook’s husband was down with a terrible illness and she stopped cooking to take care of him.
