There is a branch of Tous Les Jour just outside of Pyung Kang Cheil Church 평 강 제 일 교 회, and we bought some pastries from there for breakfast at Shalom Cafe.
The lady who works at Tous Les Jour was such a darling! She accidentally left one pastry out from this pack and after the service, we went back not to claim the pastry (I forgot about it actually), but to buy more bread. She remembered us and gave us the pastry she left out and offered us free honeydew icecream sticks! It was so fun to eat the icecream while walking back to the hotel.
When we went back again the next day, she gave me a free madeleine as well! Gosh. She surely knows how to please her customers!
The chocolate cream bun was quite nice actually. They pumped in a whole lot of cream cheese. Sinful!
The castellas was quite cheap, about KRW 3000+/ MYR 10-15, for about 5 – 6 thick slices. It looked delicious, but reality was otherwise. The cake was a little dry and too eggy too. The boys did not like it because of the overpowering eggy taste.
The amazing and powerful worship and praise team led by Pastor Kim. I love the session so much as they are always filled with so much energy and strength as they sing praises, powerful to move hearts and cast out darkness!
You can only see this in Pyung Kang Cheil Church 평 강 제 일 교 회, where little kids are trained from young the importance of obedience towards the Word of God. These kids were singing the song about the history of Korea. It is a humbling sight to see how these children were able to remember all the difficult words such as names of kings and years of reign since the nation of Korea was formed hundreds of years ago.
With these learnings, they know the history of their origin and the spirit of patriotism is strengthened and engraved deeply in their hearts. Amazing!
We had a nutritious meal at the patio, and the weather was so cooling! Nutritious vegetable soup and spicy sardines. I never knew Koreans love sardines until I had this meal. This was one of the best and most peaceful meals I had throughout the entire trip.
Americano complemented with chocolate almond biscuits to wash down the kimchis. A hot cuppa in a cooling weather surrounded by God and TLCC brothers and sisters ..the feeling was oooh la la! P-e-a-c-e.
