I owed my girlfriend a birthday cake and decided to cakeventure in Komugi. The birthday girl was in a cheesey mode and she chose the strawberry cheesecake. RM 11.
The strawberries were quite sweet and they went really well with the inches thickened, slightly curdled, cream cheese layer in the middle. Unlike the usual cheesecakes, usually frozen chilled, or lightly baked, this cheesecake was rather unique, it was in between both worlds. Thumbs up.
The only down side of the cake was the bottom biscuit layer. They did not stick welp to the cheese layer, and abit too hard.
Sadly, the cafe does not serve still water. You have no choice but to purchase this RM3.50 bottle of Komugi oxygenated water (bottle was really tiny. Max 2 small cups serving).
Uncool to not serve plain water for free! Especially in a place that serves sweet stuffs.
We were expecting that the water would be gassed like Perrier, but we were wrong. The water did taste slightly lighter than the normal hard, mineral like water we usually drink, but we did not feel our energy rejuvenated or boosted up as claimed haha.
The black coffee, RM 6.90, was a little burnt. But bearable to drink, nothing to shout about. The other drinks were at least 10 bucks over…
Hhhmmmmm… this time around… I drew no conclusion as to how I felt at the end of my meal here. Perhaps it fits me better as a take away kinda place.
Line cuteness overload attack! Harlow!
