Must-have Ipoh desserts@Funny Mountain & NΓ m Heong Kopitiam

Right after Lucky restaurant, we zoomed back into town, for some facial pampering time…. With taufoofar! It was blazing hot by noon, and we were grateful that Funny Mountain has this drive-through system. Comfort of this smooth, pearl like shining taufoofar without having to leave your car seat. Some say the beauty of Ipoh girls and their smooth skin came from the water, and taufoofar of Ipoh town.

I’m way overdue this remedy, but hehehe. At least my tummy was overjoyed!

Yes, it was almost noon. And yes, tau foo far was swimming inside me tummy. But teeheehee. Gluttony calls!

The Koreans really loved the 3-in-1 Old Town White Coffee and they will drop by the shops to buy them back to Korea.

Well, since we were here in Ipoh, why not get the real deal? We went off to Nam Heong Kopitiam to “tapao” the iced coffee packs and egg tarts. The icey cold creamy sweet white coffee was perfect for the 35 degree heat outside. Coupled by the golden eggy creamy deliciousness scooped and baked inside the fluffy layer of puff pastry.

Ok…we seriously need to head to lunch now! The breakfast episode must really close now. *BURPS*

Bouncing fish balls (no joke!)@Lucky Restaurant, Ipoh

We were all on a binge overdrive. Immediately after Xin Quan Fang’s porky loading session, we drove over to Lucky to reminisce our adoration towards their fish balls. It was about 11am and the place already had a few patrons around. I would say we got the first fish ball batch for the day!

Unfortunately I could not upload the slow-mo video of my fish ball bouncing on my bowl after free falling a ruler’s height up. They were seriously bouncy! ChowSingChi God of Cookery style.

The wantans were really fresh as well. Most importantly, they tasted home cooked. And they gave you an entire prawn inside the wantans. Hotel quality material in a laid back setting. Yummy!

Fried mantis prawns. At 11am. After porky curry noodles overload. Says alot about how mad we were towards foodieventuring! Lucky has always lived up to the standards, serving delicious and fresh seafood dishes. They were crunchy, on the outside batter but fresh and sweet prawn meat hidden inside the golden wrappers.

Lucky restaurant checked! Next stop, tau foo far! Ok we are still “having breakfast” at this moment, and hey it’s only 11.30am πŸ™‚
