Several shops away from Tous Les Jours, just outside of Pyung Kang Cheil Church 평 강 제 일 교 회, Oryu-Dong, came a new specialty coffee place which was not there a year ago..it is called Hand Drip.
We explored it one afternoon and the coffees were amazing! We had a combination of hot and cold. Iced coffee was just to my liking. Slightly dense in flavours, smokey, yet clean and smooth. Perfect for a warmer temperature day that afternoon.
This hand drip coffee were made from roasted beans from Ethopia. A little sourish at the beginning, but the end palate you the slight bitter cocoa smokey taste came in. You gotta’ drink this slow and in a chilled manner with this one.
We bought a loaf of garlic bread from Tous Les Jour and wow, I was expecting it to be a little softened and damp like most breads baked and left awhile…instead they were actually still super crunchy! Generous with garlic too! Only KRW 2500/ MYR 7-10.
Design wise was quite laid back cool chill kinda concept, but pretty similar to many cafes these days too. The baristas were super friendly and warm although we spoke little Korean!
After a break with a good cuppa, we headed back to Pyung Kang Cheil Church 평 강 제 일 교 회, for the afternoon service. Strangely it was not tiring at all to climb stairs and slopes whenever we are here. This is how heaven feels like!
