follow url One of the those Rui craving days. Drove past the shop and decided to emergency brake outside Patisserie Rui in hope that there were some fruit swiss rolls left.
As expected, there was none left. I was still craving for a cake and ended up buying a Princess Cake back home for mom.
It was not a big cake, but adorably decorated with creamy frills. Faint pink, almost white looking. Cost about RM25.
The princess cake is made of sponger layers with raspberry cream and buttercream. One word: oh so creamy! Best eaten when properly kept cool in the fridge because of the layers of cream.
Yummylicious! Not too sickly sweet. Definitely no go for dieters! I could easily finish half a cake. Its no wonder how these expat Jap ladies could order a whole cake and eat together during their tea sessions here.
I ain’t kidding when I told you about the creamy layers! Remember to store the cake properly in the fridge! Tasted a little below average once it is left to room temperature for some time.
