Pattylicious Burger Brunch@Gilbert’s Burger, Power Plant 파워플랜트 Seoul

The breezy cool sunny weather really worked up a nice appetite after an awesome stroll around Gwang Hwa Mun area. It was strange that day. Friday in Seoul at 10.30 am and almost everyone was outside basking under the breezy sunny weather. Many were working locals too, in their suits and all but everyone was just chilling outside, with a cuppa coffee, chatting, just about every corner.

As I walked around, it got me thinking, “Fridays are like so chillax in Seoul!” Mien cho kang???

Even I was absorbed into their joyous mood of getting ready to go all out drinking and partying as the hours ticked away to sunset.

Burger brunch!!!

Power Plant was a little hard to track down. Dark, grey like interior giving it a posh feel. It houses many restaurants of various cuisines…chinese, mexican, western, japanese, etc.

Gilbert Burger is a gourmet burger joint that is known for its juicy beef patties and all this walking worked up my tummy juices!

It is located on the top floor and they have several other stalls selling famous foods there including grilled lobsters and steaks.

This simple beef burger, posh and slick.. deserved my two thumbs up!

Crazy tenderlicious patty, well seasoned indeed. Infused with a pungent smokey aroma and grilled just nice to retain its raw juiciness while wrapped around a thin crunchy grilled layer. The photo did not do justice to reveal its true gigantic size. Madness for one to finish up alone!

The onion rings were huge! Super addictive I might add. They came with a home made tartar sauce which was really fresh! Perfect to have this in front my TV sitting on a cozy couch on a lazy day!

There were several tables around me which had patrons started drinking beers and champagne already.. at 11am! On a Friday!

I should consider working in Seoul…😘

Gilbert Burger, you’d served me well! I left Power Plant feeling happy walking back out into this awesome Friday weather surrounded by happy Seoul-ites all ready to partay!

Foodieventure on an amazing breezy Saturday@Seoul City

Could be the nice 8 hours sleep or the fact that it was super cold in the morning, my mood was 200% happy and my tummy was ever ready to foodieventure!

First up: got to reload on some local coffee beans and get the caffeine kicking in!

A cup of long black, hand filtered from TeraRosa while I sat by the high stools accompaying a long wooden table by the gigantic window panes, people watching through each sip.

This branch was at the Gwanghwamun one which I visit regularly.

As usual, within the GwanHwamun viscinity, croissants from Paul & Paulina

폴앤폴리나

at this branch and a cuppa from Namusairo 나무사이로 is a must!

I’ll never get bored of the croissants and till today I dream of having it everyday it’s crazy! The closest I can have to fend off the addiction is Singapore’s Tiong Bahru Bakery.

Namusairo without a doubt, gives an amazing feel just having a cuppa there in a wooden antique home in the middle of the modern concrete jungle. I absolutely love the combi of both everytime I am in Seoul😗

Walked past Pfizer’s office located in MyeongDong! I was awed by the poshness of its building and the entire building belongs to them..wow!

Ever since my first visit to MapleTree House in Myeongdong, I have been returning to this place ever since. The barbeque beef was by far the best I had ever tasted in my whole life. And here I am back again, for more deliciosuness after I was done with my cosmetics shopping.

Crazy gorgeous isn’t it, the fiery red and greyish charcoal chunks, burnt to perfection for its purpose of BBQ in excellence.

my suggestion is to just dive in for the beef. I had tried lamb and pork in the past. But beef was still the best among the 3. If you want variation, go for the lamb instead of the pork.

The meat was just crazy sweet, juicy, tender it woild legit drive you mental! So so so so good. And yes, these grilled pineapple slices were yummylicious when you leave them getting grilled under the hot charcoal heat until they turned really soft.

Those Myeongdong shoppers, do not forget to drop by this hidden gem!
